Today I had the opportunity to tour AG Barr’s headquarters in
Cumbernauld. I was delighted to meet with staff members, witness the work they
do and discuss future plans for investment and innovation with the Chief
Executive, Roger White.
AG Barr employ 930 people and are headquartered in my
constituency. It is not only a large employer within Coatbridge, Chryston and
Bellshill but it also notably produces the iconic Scottish soft drink Irn Bru.
I found it very interesting seeing behind the scenes and learning about AG Barr
as a business. I was pleased to hear that the company is keen to expand their operations
and its market share.
